Journal of Water and Wastewater Review Process
Peer Review Criteria
The selection of peer reviewers begins with the esteemed members of the journal's editorial board (specialized editors) who introduce recognized reviewers from a bank of specialized experts in the field of the article, or authors who suggest potential nominees (whose qualifications are confirmed by the editorial board) or other experts.
Reviewer Requirements
Reviewers must have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) degree and have published at least three articles as the primary author in a related subject matter. One of these articles must have been published within the past five years. In the absence of publications, reviewers must provide an explanation of their expertise.
Additionally, reviewers are required to maintain the confidentiality of the review process and refrain from publishing any information about the article and their review process.

We expect our reviewers to create a useful and constructive experience for authors, readers, and other reviewers. Therefore, we expect our reviewers to adhere to the following principles:

Writing the Review
Reviewers must provide a comprehensive report that reflects their evaluation of the article, including constructive criticism and suggestions for improvement. Additionally, reviewers must ensure that their review is written in clear Persian (or English, if the article is in English).
The peer review form includes mandatory questions that vary depending on the type of article being reviewed. Reviewers are also required to disclose any conflicts of interest.
The editorial team will be in contact with reviewers to request explanations or additional details as needed.
