Much research has been conducted on wetland operation with continuous flow but not enough information is available on batch flow. This study investigates wetland efficiency in batch flow. For the purposes of this research, two pretreatment units of the anaerobic pond type with digestion pits and two subsurface flow wetlands with a 2-day detention time were built on the pilot scale. The cells were charged with sand of 5 mm effective size, uniformity coefficient of 1.5, and a porosity of 35%. One wetland cell and one pretreatment unit were used as control. The municipal wastewater selected to be monitored for the one-year study period had a flow rate of 26 m3/day and average BOD5 of 250mg/l, TSS of 320mg/l, TKN of 35mg/l, TP of 12mg/l and TC of 2×108 MPN/100ml from Sabzevar Wastewater Treatment Plant. The average removal efficiencies of BOD5,TSS,TKN,TP, and TC in the continuous flow for the combined control pretreatment and wetland cell were 77.2%, 92%, 91%, 89%, 96.5% while the same values for the batch flow for the combined experimental pretreatment and wetland cell were 92%, 97%, 97.5%, 97%, and 99.75%, respectively. The removal efficiency in the subsurface flow wetlands in the batch flow was higher than that of the continuous flow. Thus, for wastewaters with a high pollution level, the batch flow can be used in cell operation in cases where there is not enough land for spreading the wetland cell.}, keywords = {Pretreatment,Subsurface Flow Wetland,Continuous Flow,Batch Flow,Natural Treatment,Wetland,Wastewater Treatment}, title_fa = {بررسی عملکرد نیزارهای مصنوعی در جریان ناپیوسته برای تصفیه فاضلاب شهری}, abstract_fa = {نیزارهای مصنوعی زیر سطحی از جمله روشهای تصفیه طبیعی فاضلاب شهری و صنعتی بوده که از نظر مصرف انرژی و هزینه بسیار مقرون به‌صرفه است. تحقیقات زیادی در خصوص عملکرد نیزارها در جریان پیوسته انجام شده اما در جریان ناپیوسته اطلاعات کافی در دسترس نیست. در این تحقیق به بررسی بازده نیزارها در جریان ناپیوسته پرداخته شد. دو واحد پیش‌تصفیه از نوع برکه بی‌هوازی مجهز به چاله هاضم و دو بستر نیزار زیر سطحی هر کدام با زمان ماند 2 روز در مقیاس صحرایی ساخته شد. برای پر کردن بسترها از ماسه نخودی با اندازه مؤثر5 میلی‌متر، ضریب یکنواختی 1/5 و با ضریب تخلخل 35 در صد استفاده گردید. یک بستر و واحد پیش تصفیه به عنوان شاهد در نظر گرفته شد . فاضلاب کاربردی از نوع شهری با دبی ورودی 26 مترمکعب در روز از شبکه شهری واقع در تصفیه‌خانه سبزوار انتخاب و پایلوت در مدت یک سال مورد بررسی قرار گرفت . متوسط بازده حذف BOD5، TSS، TKN، TP و TC در جریان پیوسته برای ترکیب پیش تصفیه و نیزار شاهد به‌ترتیب 77/2، 92، 91، 89 و 96/5 درصد و در جریان ناپیوسته برای ترکیب پیش تصفیه و نیزار مورد تحقیق به ترتیب 92،97، 97/5، 97 و 95/75 درصد به‌دست آمد. بازده حذف نیزارهای مصنوعی زیر سطحی در جریان ناپیوسته افزایش قابل توجهی نسبت به جریان‌های پیوسته نشان می‌دهد. بنابراین در موارد آلودگی زیاد فاضلاب در صورت نبود زمین کافی برای گسترش نیزار می‌توان از جریان ناپیوسته در بهره برداری بستر استفاده نمود.}, keywords_fa = {پیش‌تصفیه,نیزار مصنوعی زیرسطحی,جریان پیوسته,جریان ناپیوسته,تصفیه طبیعی فاضلاب,تالاب,تصفیه فاضلاب}, url = {https://www.wwjournal.ir/article_2394.html}, eprint = {https://www.wwjournal.ir/article_2394_5b2abc1aad8ff033ae271d857c4275ef.pdf} }
