The sediments, therefore, become large repositories of toxic heavy metals. This research examined the concentrations of heavy metals (Al, Cd, Cu, Pb, Ni, Zn) in the nearshore sediments in the alongshore direction of the Iranian coast of the Caspian Sea. Fourteen samples were collected and granulometric compositions were determined. The consideration of three grain size fractions (0.355 mm, 0.212 mm and 0.075 mm), plus fourteen bulk samples required analyzing 56 samples for the presence of heavy metals. Laboratory analysis of the samples was accomplished using the Cold Acetic Protocol, followed by Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy. Preparation of the samples involved the utilization of the Cold Acetic Acid Extraction Protocol established by the Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research (GLIER), Canada. The results provided evidence of large differences in total metal concentrations in the sediment samples from the fourteen sites. Box and Whisker plots demonstrated that metal concentrations were not homogeneously distributed, and that there were large spatial variations in the median concentrations of heavy metals at each sample site. The statistical technique of discriminant analysis revealed that the six heavy metals had distinct and statistically significant concentrations at various locations along the coast. Concentrations reflected metal loadings from anthropogenic sources located at and in the vicinity of the sampling sites. }, keywords = {discriminant Analysis,sediments,Toxic Heavy Metals,Marine environment,Caspian Sea,Iran}, title_fa = {بررسی غلظت فلزات سنگین در رسوبات سطحی سواحل دریای خزر در ایران}, abstract_fa = {در این مقاله، به بررسی غلظت فلزات سنگین نظیر آلومینیم، کادمیوم، مس، سرب، نیکل و روی ناشی از فعالیتهای صنعتی و اقتصادی در رسوبات ساحلی در طول سواحل ایرانی دریای خزر پرداخته شده است. بدین منظور تعداد چهارده ایستگاه نمونه‌برداری با فواصل تقریبی 45 تا 55 کیلومتر از یکدیگر در طول سواحل انتخاب و نمونه‌برداری از رسوبات ساحلی در تابستان سال 1384 صورت گرفته است. نمونه‌ها پس از انتقال به آزمایشگاه خشک و دانه‌بندی گردیده و از هر نمونه دانه‌هایی با ابعاد 0/355، 0/212و 0/075 میلی‌متر به اضافه یک نمونه کلی از هر ایستگاه (جمعاً 56 نمونه) جهت بررسی میزان فلزات سنگین در آنان انتخاب گردیدند. آماده‌سازی نمونه‌ها با استفاده از روش استخراج با اسید استیک سرد و تجزیه و تحلیل آنها توسط دستگاه آی سی پی انجام گردید. غلظت فلزات سنگین در رسوبات ساحلی ایستگاههای نمونه‌برداری یکنواخت نبود و اختلافات زیادی در میانگین غلظت آنها در ایستگاههای مختلف نمونه‌برداری مشاهده شد. رسم نمودار باکس و ویسکر نیز وجود اختلاف در غلظت آلودگی را در سطح ایستگاههای مختلف نمونه‌برداری نشان می‌دهد. به کارگیری راه‌حلهای آماری تحلیل ممیزی نشان می‌دهد که هر شش فلز سنگین مورد مطالعه دارای غلظتهای آماری بالا و منحصر به فردی در محل ایستگاههای مختلف نمونه‌برداری در طول ساحل می‌باشند. وجود غلظتهای بالای فلزات سنگین در رسوبات ساحلی دریای خزر ناشی از تخلیه میزان قابل توجهی از آلاینده‌های انسانی در محل و یا در نزدیکی ایستگاههای نمونه‌برداری به دریا می‌باشد.}, keywords_fa = {دریای خزر,فلزات سنگین,تحلیل ممیزی,محیط زیست دریایی,رسوبات ساحلی,ایران}, url = {https://www.wwjournal.ir/article_1802.html}, eprint = {https://www.wwjournal.ir/article_1802_d15e89633190d69577f43ee084039ccc.pdf} }
